As an engineer, you’ll do research on new technologies and build new prototypes. This tech career will put you in the center of an exciting and expanding field.

What They Earn: Median salary is $95,230

Education Required: A bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering will get you an entry-level gig, but employers are looking for a doctorate degree for the top-level positions. Idaho State University, Michigan State University, and Mississippi State University all have programs to help get you there.
